Requests for procurement documents are routine. Vendors frequently object to the release of proprietary information. Government officials are governed by the Freedom of Information Act, Procurement Code, and Trade Secrets Act. This class will cover the requirements for Procurement personnel as it relates to the Freedom of Information Act.

The prerequisite is FOIA'S Meeting Rules & the Evaluation Process, which was formerly known as MMO-7.

This course is designed to help you navigate these laws and balance the need for disclosure with the need for maintaining integrity in the procurement process. The course materials will be the 2002 FOIA Document Guide.
